Not everyone is a good candidate for on-line learning. It is
time-consuming and may require special configuration for a PC.
Self-Paced (sometimes referred to as correspondence) often means that
you don't get it done. Live classroom training is limited by the
instructor. A combination of these methods is the proven most
effective strategy for vocational career learning. For licensing
training, we normally recommend the quickest course of study.
On-Line
Classes
The advantage of on-line training is
that you can begin immediately, instead of waiting for a course book.
There are no shipping or printing charges, making it less expensive. In
addition, upon completion, you receive your certificate immediately
instead of waiting for your test and material to be graded. The
disadvantage of on-line training is that not everyone enjoys sitting in
front of a computer. Making on-line learning interesting is a real
challenge. We have spent over $1 million developing our on-line program
into a robust, fun and practical learning tool with lots of real world
value added tools.
Self-Paced
(Correspondence) Classes
The advantage of self-paced learning is
that the course material is sent right to you. You have a permanent copy
for your records, and the texts can be added to your resource library
for future reference. There is no electronic technology, so computer and
internet outages, technical problems, and general computer
unavailability do not hinder progress. This learning is correspondence
training with books, pens and highlighters, which is very familiar to
many people. The disadvantage of the self-paced program is that it costs
more because of printing and shipping. It takes longer because materials
have to be shipped and tests have to be graded by hand.
